I am a bedside teddy.
Do you ever stop to think what I go through,
night after night, to look after you?
All day I sit still as a stone, waiting, waiting, waiting.

While you are sleeping,
I start to get busy.
I make sure that you are not too hot or too cold.
I promise to take care of you.
I scare the bad dreams out of you.

If you do not want to awake, I will never wake you up.
If you need me, I will always be there.

When the sun comes,
I will use my last bit of strength to crawl back to where I belong.
